What makes us different from other tour providers?
We’re proud to offer something unique and have achieved this by means of several aspects. Our camping tours are personalised and exclusive with no more than 6 guests per tour. We take the strain of travelling off your shoulders by taking the wheel (literally, we do all the driving) so you can relax. While the accommodation for these tours is technically considered camping – we’ve sourced and imported top of the range tents that take just a few seconds to set up. Your tent will be set up for you by one of our guides, leaving you with some free time to explore or unwind. Our tents are spacious, with ample room to move around, and include 2 comfortable camp beds and a bedside table.
What's required from you?
Almost nothing! We do however recommend a moderate level of fitness to make the most of our tours as camping does require some walking and mobility. Some of our activities also include walks over rough and uneven surfaces. If however, you do not feel up to a particular activity you are more than welcome to spend your time relaxing at camp.

Why we offer camping tours...
Camping in South Africa offers a unique and immersive experience that surpasses other accommodations on an adventure. The rugged landscapes, diverse wildlife, and enchanting wilderness of the country make camping the preferred choice for adventurous travellers for a multitude of reasons.
Firstly, camping allows us to truly connect with nature. South Africa boasts an array of breathtaking national parks and reserves, such as Kruger National Park, Karoo National Park and Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, where we can pitch our camp amidst the designated natural areas. Falling asleep to the sounds of nocturnal creatures and waking up to the vibrant chorus of birds creates an unparalleled connection with the natural world.

Secondly, camping offers unrivalled flexibility and freedom. Unlike staying in lodges or hotels, camping allows us to explore remote corners of the national parks at our own pace. We can embark on walking trails, follow game tracks, or venture on gravel trails to discover hidden gems. The ability to choose our own routes and set up camp at our designated stops, adds an element of spontaneity and adventure to our experience.

Moreover, camping is a cost-effective option for those travelling on a budget. South Africa has a range of well-equipped campsites that provide basic amenities such as water, ablutions, and braai (BBQ) facilities. We supply all our own camping gear, in order to avoid the higher costs associated with luxury accommodations. This enables you to allocate more of your budget towards other optional activities like guided game drives or bush walks, enhancing your overall safari experience.

Lastly, camping fosters a sense of camaraderie and community. Many campsites in South Africa offer shared cooking, washing up and dining areas, allowing you to meet fellow adventurers from around the world. Sharing stories around a campfire, exchanging tips and experiences, and creating lasting memories with like-minded individuals adds an enriching social aspect to your safari.

To summarise, camping on a South African adventure offers an authentic, immersive, and cost-effective experience that surpasses other accommodation options. From the freedom to explore, the close connection with nature, and the opportunity to forge new friendships, camping allows you to truly embrace the untamed beauty of South Africa.
